- One main image that takes up the front cover.
- Colour scheme used, but minimal amount of different colours - simple
- All three magazines have cover lines
- Main cover line is the largest text
- Small features
- Buzz words - 'Exclusive'
- Bar Codes on all magazines
- Well established magazines
         - Even if title is covered, audience still knows what it is.
- The page is full of good information.
- The Mast Head is in a unique font. Usually one word
- Mast Head either fills the cover or placed on the left hand side.
- 'Puffs' on Kerrang
- Draws the audience in, free give aways. competitions
- Strip on top or bottom of the page, includes features
- Direct mode of address used.
      - Band or artist looking at the audience.
- Studio photographs used. Photo shopped
- Use of quotes to draw in the audience
