Initial ideas and plans for music magazine
I plan to produce a indie alternative music magazine, containing articles about various artists from different genres so that it appeals to a wide target audience. I think this is important as now a days there are so many different artists around it is difficult to just focus on one genre. Hopefully my magazine will interest a lot of people. I have chosen the artist that I am going to focus my double page spread on and contacted her to make sure that she is free for an interview and photo shoot her name is Laura Ellen, she is currently a YouTube singer and has started writing her own music for a record label. I want to call my magazine HEAR, as it obviously straight away relates to music and couldn't be mistaken for any other genre of magazine. I think that the name is good as it has two meanings, HEAR the music and HERE is where its at, it will draw people in. I have had a few ideas for the content page of my magazine, after being to quite a few concerts this year I took some pictures of artists such as Katy Perry and Pixie Lott performing live so I will probably use these pictures. I plan on putting a competition inside the magazine to win something music related, maybe a pair of headphones or gig tickets, this will also hopefully attract my target audience to the magazine. I am going to produce a magazine for teenage/young adults, making sure I use relevent and popular artists of this era.
